We had the most wonderful evening at St Marie’s last week for the St Marie’s Christmas Concert. We welcomed 170 visitors to listen and participate with the brilliant St Wilfrid’s Parish Choir led by Frances Atherton at the piano.

Guests enjoyed free mulled wine, hot drinks and mince pies, kindly donated by Tesco.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, donated raffle prizes and helped raise over £700 through the raffle and sale of St Marie’s Timeline booklets. We plan to donate that money toward the re- decoration of the church. Thanks to your generosity in previous years we were able to donate over £2,200 this month toward the cost of upgrading the lighting in the church.

The St Marie’s Heritage Group did a fabulous job decorating the Altar & tree and the event couldn’t have taken place without the help and support of the staff of Halton and St Helens VCA.
