Reinstalling the bell to the new supporting timbers. Note the bellcote was erected at ground level as it was delivered in sections. Once fully erected, it was lifted by crane back to it’s original position on the church roof.
We couldn’t have had better weather.

Thank you for those wonderful photos, especially the ones of the inside of the Church, I was born in Newtown and lived there until I got married, (at St Maries)when I was younger I attended Mass, Sunday School and then Benediction every Sunday, I have so many wonderful happy memories of St Marie’s and I am so delighted that this work is being carried out.
